Practices (Private lessons only)
- Competition skaters are required to wear practice outfits. Beginner skaters need to wear clothing that they can move freely in.
- Students must be present at least 15 minutes before lesson begins. Time will not be able to be made up if you are late. Sorry!
- During practice time, lessons, and competitions student may only drink water unless approved by coach.
- Parents must give at least a 24 hour notice if the student will be missing a lesson. If a 24 hour notice is not given then you will be charged for that lesson and will not be able to make it up unless it is an emergency.
- Students are encouraged to stay for practice as long as the coach is present.
- Private lessons are very limited and we understand that students need a week off ever now and then, but if a student misses more than one lesson then this may jeopardize their day & time. Students must try to make up their missed lesson. Please contact us to schedule a make up day.
- During practice or lesson time family or friends are not allowed to skate unless it’s during open session. But they need to make sure they do not interfere with the student during their lesson time.
Group Lessons
- Students are to wear clothes that are easy to move in.
- Group classes are a monthly program. Unfortunately we can not offer make up classes. Students will be charged whether they attend or not.
Private and Group lessons will receive a notice every 3rd lesson for payments due on the 4th lesson if you wish to continue. If payment is not received by the 4th lesson a reminder will be given. (Private lessons– please make sure you contact us if payment isn’t paid on the 4th lesson. Otherwise this may jeopardize your day & time. Space is very Limited. Thanks). If payment is not sent on the 1st lesson of the new month your child will not participate in private or group lesson. If you plan to continue then you will need to add a $5.00 late fee to your bill on the 2nd lesson for your child to continue. Otherwise your child will not participate. NO REFUNDS AFTER LESSONS HAVE BEGUN AND NO TRANSFERS.
Competition skaters only!
- Students are to have their own transportation to and from the competitions.
- Students are to be present for practice day, which is usually the day before the competition. If the competition is Regional or Nationals there may be a different schedule.
- Outfits must always be covered at the bottom half. This is a major rule. In some cases if a judge sees you outside the rink with your bottom half not covered you will be frowned upon and it may jeopardized your skating.
- Students must purchase a club outfit and wear it on practice day at the competitions to represent our skate club.
- On the day of competition ALL family members must wear dress clothing. This means NO jeans...wear something like you would wear to church. Students and parents must be on their best behavior while representing the club. They must be courteous, respectful to all coaches, judges, and skaters and show GOOD sportsmanship!
- Students will be responsible for their skates and outfits. Coaches will be responsible for your music.
- All skaters must purchase an Amateur Card in order to skate in competitions.
- On the day of competition each skater must be present and ready to skate at least two hours prior to their scheduled skate time.
- We will try to provide the parents with some hotel information for each competition.
- Each skater must have their outfit and skates on to receive an award. Skaters receiving awards must stand in a “T” position as the reward is presented.
